N4 Administration & IT

 This course has 3 units of study:

IT Solutions: Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database

Communication in Administration: Presentations, Email, E-diary, Internet Skills

Administrative Practices: Skill and Qualities, Health and Safety, Customer Care. Security of People, Property and Information  


Assessment Information:

Each unit has a practical assessment to test pupil knowledge and skills. Pupil with then be required to complete an Added Value Unit, which combines all of the knowledge and skills gained throughout the course. Pupils must pass all units and the AVU to gain a course award.

N5 Administration & IT

The assignment will take place over 2 sessions:

Session 1: Monday 10 March 2025 8.50 am - 10.20 am

Session 2: Tuesday 11 March 2025 8.50 am - 10.20 am

 

Supported Study (MG02):

Monday - 3.30pm

Tuesday - 3.30pm

 

Higher Administration & IT

This course has 3 units of study:

IT Solutions: Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database

Communication in Administration: Presentations, Email, E-diary, Internet Skills

Administrative Theory and Practice: Role of an Admin Assistant, Time and Task Management, Effective Teams, Workplace Legislation, Impact of Technology in the Workplace, Customer Care 


The final grade is based on:

Exam (50 marks): Administrative Theory and Practice

Assignment (70 marks): IT Solutions, Communication in Administration

 The assignment will take place on Friday 28 March 2025 10 am - 12 pm
